Dr. Deborah Kim is a board-certified adult psychiatrist licensed in PA, NJ, NY and FL. She is a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Kim graduated medical school from the University of Pittsburgh and did her psychiatry residency at the University of Pennsylvania. She went on to complete a highly recognized 2 year research fellowship at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center. She has been treating patients for over 25 years and has extensive knowledge regarding the use of psychopharmacology and other biological treatments for mental illness. Dr. Kim specializes in the treatment of perinatal (during and after pregnancy) mood and anxiety disorders. Additionally, Dr. Kim has expertise in the treatment of patients with major medical co-morbidities, PMS/PMDD, menopausal issues and bipolar disorder. She is often sought out by patients who have treatment resistance illnesses and are looking for novel options. She offers IV ketamine as an additional treatment option for patients with depression, anxiety, and other disorders who have not responded to other treatments.  She has been awarded multiple government research grants and has published numerous journal articles as well as lectures both nationally and internationally.
